Hamburg Cuts Costs and Builds Green by Repurposing Old Gas Pipeline for Hydrogen Network
• Hamburg will repurpose a decommissioned natural gas pipeline for hydrogen transport, saving €18 million [$19.4 million USD] and avoiding 7 km of new construction. • The HH-WIN network will initially span 40 km by 2027, expanding to 60 km by 2032 to serve key industrial users and connect to Germany’s hydrogen core network.
